Nysmith was proudly represented by five teams at Georgetown Day School’s QB4All Gemini Invitational Tournament this past Saturday, with students delivering impressive results across both experienced and first-time competitors.

• Nysmith A, featuring Haoyang P., Anand J., Alex G., and Thomas C., finished with a 6–2 record, earning 4th place and qualifying for the NAQT National Tournament.
• Nysmith C, featuring Eden R., Krish S., Nicholas K., Tejas Y., and Nathan Y., had a standout performance, going undefeated (8–0) to win the Elementary Division, securing a spot to defend their title at the NAQT Elementary National Championship.
• Nysmith B, featuring Nathan K., Aria S., and Gabriella G., finished 20th (2–6)—an impressive result while competing short-handed.
• Nysmith D, featuring Roman H., Shyla Z., Jiana K., and Lizzy W., finished 18th (2–6).
• Nysmith E, featuring Chase, Anna X., Riyana S., Landon N., and Benjamin A., finished 15th (2–6).

Notably, this tournament marked the first-ever competition for 12 of our 21 players, making these results even more impressive. We are incredibly proud of all our students for their teamwork, resilience, and strong debut performances—an exciting sign of what’s to come for Nysmith Quiz Bowl!
