Our Quiz Bowl Teams made an outstanding debut at their first-ever tournament this past Saturday, demonstrating skill, teamwork, and perseverance against tough competition. Competing in the Middle School Division, all three Nysmith teams delivered impressive performances:

• Nysmith A –  Om K., Alex G., Anand J., and Nishank S., finished with a 5-3 record, securing 11th place out of 24 teams.
• Nysmith B – Kevin P. , Thomas C. and Nathan K., fought hard to finish 3-5, ranking 18th out of 24 teams.
• Nysmith C – Aalia K., Hugo R., Jonathan H., and Eden R., had an incredible run, finishing with a 6-2 record, earning the #1 seed in the playoff rounds, and ultimately placing 3rd out of 18 teams—bringing home a trophy for our school!

In addition to the team successes, individual players also had remarkable achievements:
🏅 Aalia K.finished as the #1 point scorer among 77 elementary school competitors, averaging an impressive 88 points per game.
🏅 Alex G. ranked 12th out of 107 middle school students, with 51 points per game.

Both received medals for their outstanding performances!

We are incredibly proud of all our Quiz Bowl participants for their dedication, teamwork, and competitive spirit. This is just the beginning of what promises to be an exciting season ahead!
