May 2022: Nysmith Teams Place Second, Win Award At VEX Robotic World Championships
Four teams whose members are either all Nysmith students or include at least one member from the school competed at this past weekend’s VEX Robotics World Championships in Dallas. Congrats to all the participants for a job well done and special recognition to these teams:
● The Savage Bots, made up of Giovanni E., Arjun N. and Max R., won the Innovate Award presented to the team that demonstrates the most organized approach to the design process, project & time management and team organization.
● The Banana Bots (top photo), with team members S. and S. Iyer, Minal M. and Max K., placed second in the highly competitive Engineering division.
● The Vex Revolution (bottom photo), which includes Nysmith student Max K., finished 10th in the Research division competition.
