The Nysmith Odyssey of the Mind Team, featuring Hayden S., Isaac K., Jake X., Ria N., Avyan S., Peter K., and John G., delivered an impressive performance at the Virginia State Tournament, earning 3rd place in their division.

As part of the competition, the team was challenged to engineer an 8-inch structure using only 18 grams of balsa wood. Their design demonstrated exceptional creativity and structural ingenuity, ultimately supporting an incredible 672 pounds before breaking.

This outstanding result reflects the team’s innovation, problem-solving skills, and dedication. We are incredibly proud of their achievement at the state level!
