Nysmith Students Deliver Strong Performance at Montgomery Blair Math Tournament
Recognizing Success: Awards, Honors & News
Nysmith students had an excellent showing at the 2026 Montgomery Blair Math Tournament, demonstrating impressive mathematical skill and teamwork. The team—Vikram M., Sanjay N., Noah N., Nishank S., and Nathan Y.—earned a strong 5th place overall finish.
Individually, Noah N. was recognized with the Young Scholar Award as the top-scoring 6th grader, while Vikram M. placed an outstanding 5th overall in the individual round. In subject tests, Vikram and Nishank both earned medals, and Noah and Nathan placed in the top 7, highlighting the depth of talent across the team.
We are incredibly proud of their accomplishments and their continued success in high-level mathematics competitions!
