January 2025 – Nysmith Students Headed To National Literature Competition
Nysmith STudents Win Regional Literature Competition
Nysmith students showcased their literary knowledge and critical thinking skills at the Kids Lit Competition held at Longfellow Middle School, delivering impressive performances across multiple grade levels.
- The 7th Grade Team, featuring Thomas C., Nathan K., and Kevin P., earned a third-place finish, demonstrating their strong command of literature and teamwork.
- The 5th/6th Grade Team, featuring Aalia K., Emi N., Matthew N., and Eden R., won first place, securing a spot at the National Competition in Hartford, Connecticut, on January 29th!
This achievement highlights the dedication and literary passion of our students, and we are incredibly proud of their hard work. Best of luck to our 5th/6th Grade Team as they prepare to compete on the national stage!
