Students TOok 11 of 21 Perfect Scores in National WOrdMasters Challenge

A team representing Nysmith has earned Highest Honors in the 38th annual WordMasters Challenge™, a prestigious national vocabulary competition involving nearly 125,000 students each year. Competing in the highly competitive Gold Division, our fourth-grade team demonstrated exceptional word mastery, achieving a perfect score of 200 points in the first of three meets—securing first place in the nation.

Individually, Aarush A., Ayla B., Evie C., Veronica J., Nathan K., Jiana K., Chase K., Amina K., Arman K., Anya M., and Nishka S. each earned a perfect score of 20, an extraordinary accomplishment given that only 21 fourth graders nationwide achieved this result.

Additionally, several other Nysmith students delivered outstanding performances in the competition, including Kiyan A., Isabella C., Sebastian C., Charles G., Jordan K., Caden K., Diya K., Abigail L., Mayling R., and Zac T.

This remarkable achievement is a testament to our students’ dedication, vocabulary skills, and critical thinking abilities. We are incredibly proud of their hard work and look forward to their continued success in the upcoming WordMasters meets!
