February 2025 – Nysmith Team Excels at 2025 MathCounts Competition
Nysmith Team Finishes 3rd in Fairfax
Nysmith students showcased their mathematical talent at the 2025 Fairfax Chapter MATHCOUNTS Competition, with one team and 13 individuals representing our school in this prestigious event.
- The Nysmith team, led by Kaiden G. (Team Captain) and featuring Hazem K., Nathan L., and Nishank S., achieved a perfect score and secured an impressive third-place overall finish.
- In individual scoring, Vikram M., Nishank S., Hazem K., and Kaiden G. finished in the top 25%, demonstrating exceptional problem-solving skills and mathematical proficiency.
We also recognize the outstanding participation of Om K., Sanjay N., Davina N., Evelyn S., Antong L., Rishik D., Neer J., and Manvik C., who represented Nysmith with dedication and skill.
