What is Actobotics

By: Kevin (7th Grade)

Actobotics is a 7th grade elective, the elective aims to prepare the students to participate in Advanced Robotics and Engineering high school courses and clubs. Throughout the year the students will be using the Actobotics platform. It is a programming system which is used to create and test various robot designs. In this elective, they will use this to learn to incorporate motors, servos, sensors, and microcontrollers to solve different challenges. In the beginning of the year the students will use a platform that many are familiar with, LEGO robotics. After the students demonstrate basic problem solving skills they will move on to using the Actobotics platform. This elective is a very hands-on and build from scratch class, I would recommend this to anyone who wants to learn more about programming and robotics.
