When you tour Nysmith, we think you’ll be impressed with our state-of-the-art facilities, designed to maximize comfort and functionality to create a unique environment for children to learn. Yet previous visitors consistently tell us the thing that impressed them the most was something they didn’t expect to see. Everywhere they looked–in the classrooms, the library, computer labs–were happy students engaged in activities they were thoroughly enjoying. During your tour, there is much to observe as you envision your child being a part of this remarkable experience:
You will see the smiles on our students’ faces, whether it’s a younger child learning a foreign language or an older one designing and bulding a robot. You will easily recognize the rare student-teacher relationships that inspire these inquisitive children to pursue a deeper understanding of the subject being taught. And you will perceive the friendly and respectful way in which the students work together in a cooperative and stress-free environment to make the most of their educational opportunity. You will hear our students’ happiness as they walk the halls to and from class. They are laughing with–and not at–each other. They might be sharing their feelings about their next project, reviewing the fun-filled field trip just completed or discussing their common passion for an extracurricular activity. In any case, what you’ll be hearing are the sounds of children having fun as they acquire knowledge and also cultivate the friendships that often lead to lifelong relationships.
