Clubs

By: Sia (5th Grade)

As you all know, all clubs started a couple of weeks ago and are a great way for teachers to show and teach students their hobbies outside of school. In the next paragraph, you will find three different clubs that I showcased and strongly recommend.

Band is an excellent club where students can learn to play instruments, and show off their talent at the Nysmith Concerts. Band is not only good for playing instruments, it also teaches multitasking. It teaches multitasking because there are a ton of things you need to think about all at once like posture, breathing, and having the right rhythm. This club has been here for more than 6 years now and is an awesome club if you want to learn an instrument, show it off at concerts, and improve your management skills!

Minecraft Club is “the place to go if you want to have fun after school!” says Ms. Tan. Fifth to Eight graders are allowed, and it is all about being creative. This club has been running for since September and is already a big success. There are tons of fun projects, and you get to share what you create!

Business and Money, run by Mrs. Emons, is a great club where you can learn how to manage money, personally and in business. Mrs. Emons has been running this club for 10 years. This club also teaches how to start a business and be responsible. It requires you to think outside the box, learn economic skills, and is full of fun!
