The Nysmith School Debate Club competed in the Metro Speech and Debate Association Emerson Preparatory School Public Forum Tournament in November 2016.

Thirty teams and seven different schools participated debating the topic:

Resolved: On balance, the benefits of the Internet of Things outweigh the harms of decreased personal privacy.
