Congratulations to our Nysmith team who placed second overall in the 2016 Virginia State Math contest. The Virginia State Math contest was for students in grades 3-6. The team consisted of Ryan Kim, Aiden Kim, Vidhi Sharma and Zani Xu. They did an excellent job!

Additionally, these students also competed individually and performed well:

• Zani won the first place for 4th grade.
• Vidhi won the 6th place for 4th grade.
• Ryan won the 7th place for 4th grade.
• Aiden won the 4th place for 6th grade.

Zani and Aiden both advanced to next level and qualified to go to the National Contest on June 11th, 2016 in Houston, TX.
