The Nysmith Science Bowl® team of Kaien Yang (Captain), Aneesh Edava, Anuraag Kaashyap and Yuvy Sethi won the 2017 Virginia State Championship title on March 4th, 2017, at Jefferson Lab in Newport News, VA.

The Nysmith team will represent Virginia at the National Science Bowl Finals to be held at the National 4-H Youth Conference Center just outside of Washington, D.C., April 27 – May 1.

The team had a stellar performance demonstrating in-depth subject matter area knowledge, outstanding problem-solving skills and teamwork. The team went undefeated in all matches. The team credits the success to the strong support from The Nysmith School and the parents who coached them.
