The Nysmith School is a family owned and operated school.
The rates shown above are the monthly tuition rates. Should a family choose to pay tuition via either the semester or annual payment plan options, tuition will be lower than that listed above.
Note: At The Nysmith School, we believe in honest transparency. The Nysmith School does not conduct fundraising, or capital drives to raise additional funds. There are only two fees that the school charges, requests, or begs for.
1. Technology Improvement Fee (Each family is charged $150. per student per year for Technology Improvement since computers are used by every child, every day)
2. Tuition insurance. if a family elects to pay tuition via semester or monthly payment plan roughly 1.6%
Additional Programs
We offer an extended care program throughout the school year, which flows into our exciting and diversified summer program.
Transportation
Transportation to and from school is available depending on location. Rates vary with services provided and distance from school. Please call for service availability and rate information.
Sibling Discount
1st child, normal tuition rate applies
2nd child, normal tuition rate -$850
3rd child, ˝ off normal tuition rate
4th – 5th child, 100% off normal tuition, yes you read correctly! Free tuition. When we say we are family oriented, we try to help keep the family together.
Bus Transportation

3rd Child, Free Bus Transportation
Please note that if a family lives in a County other than Fairfax or Loudoun County, we understand the severe logistical challenges that are faced daily. We offer free bus transportation for families that meet the bus on regularly scheduled bus routes.
Financial Assistance
Financial assistance is available. Qualification is based on need and is determined by School and Student Services.
*Tuition does not include the required $250
classroom technology/enrichment assessment fee.
