During extended care, children participate in special activities, play outside and have a snack.

A list of special activities is sent home to elementary and middle school students every eight weeks, and children may choose one for each afternoon of the week.

The generous offering of academic and leisure special activities from which to select includes cooking, art, sports, computers and more.

We strive to make extended care a positive and fun experience for the children rather than an extension of the academic school day that may feel like a negative necessity.

Extended care is only closed on federal holidays or when the federal government closes due to inclement weather, as well as for the week prior to the start of each new school year. It allows students who need after school care a safe and fun place to come during snow days or winter vacations.
