Students who stay to graduate from Nysmith School are extremely well-rounded through grounding in a wide variety of disciplines. Happy, friendly, social and well-balanced young adults with a positive outlook on life, they have a strong moral character and a quality of expression that distinguishes them. Our graduates have the confidence and skill to communicate and interact with others regardless of the situation, as well as the strong academic background to successfully pursue their future. Nysmith students who leave early to attend other schools are often moved forward into higher grades, where they must face emotional consequences and potential isolation from being forced to interact out of their peer groups with older students. Early departures motivated by social reasons, athletic pressure, recruitment from other schools, and budget priorities short-change gifted children by depriving them of the nurturing educational environment in which they have excelled.
